Huawei Mate Xs2

But obviously, this configuration choice is actually the result of a trade-off, not a change in positioning. What a relatively balanced configuration choice brings is the design of the Mate Xs2 that is greatly reduced and thinner.

The morphological characteristics of the outer screen make it have natural advantages in thickness and weight control, but the mainstream choice of each is still inward folding, why?

But why are the excellent solutions of Mate X in all aspects abandoned on the X2 and turned to inward folding?
The reason is actually one, screen protection, how to guarantee the stability and reliability of the whole machine?
This problem could not be solved at the beginning, and this is the core pain point of Mate X.
So for Mate Xs2, this is the real problem that needs to be solved fundamentally, and it is also the core point of this machine.
So from Mate X to Mate Xs2, there is a gap of three years.
In the past three years, how did Huawei come about? I don't know. For consumers, there is no need to know.
As long as this matter can be resolved, then the Mate Xs2 is undoubtedly a silent and full machine, a dimensionality reduction and a machine that presses and rubs all the current folding screen mobile phones on the ground.
But if this matter is not resolved, then I personally feel that this machine is dangerous.

Now, Huawei has given its own answer, two very important points, one is the reliability design of the whole machine; the other is a brand new protective case.

Another benefit of hinge design optimization is the continued optimization of creases. At the press conference, Huawei gave a comparison of creases between Mate Xs2 and Galaxy Fold3, which can be said to be quite obvious.
In addition, the structural design of the screen itself has changed. Huawei has absorbed the characteristics of the car anti-collision structure design, and the industry has created a screen that meets the reinforced structure. On the screen display layer, a barrier layer, a buffer layer and a protective layer are set up. Improve the drop resistance of the screen.
In addition, Huawei has released a new protective case. In the folded state, this protective case can wrap the side part of the screen, so that the folding screen mobile phone is in the safe state of a traditional candy bar phone, which improves the reliability of daily use at one time.
This point is not particularly conspicuous, but it is very important, and basically it can eliminate a core concern of users' daily use.
Of course, with regard to the reliability part, the above analysis is based on the analysis of the information of the press conference. As for the specific daily use, its reliability remains to be tested.
Basically, if reliability is not a problem, then the Mate Xs2 should be the most valuable folding screen phone on the market. In comparison, the price of 9999 is not important.
